Some interesting views in these perspectives.
"Away from the “icebergs”", it seems that NVDPL is constructing a ship as it has outgrown it's boat.
"Into a new world of librarianship" This is definitely a portrait of the 'Ideal Librarian' but we musn't forget that todays librarian is still human. Trying to achieve this ideal cyber person could precipitate a lot of the old side effects of
"getting caught up in the rat race", headaches from "information overload" and "burn out".
"To a temporary place in time..." Forgot to add "what happens when the power goes out?" I myself still love to curl up with an actual book, by candlelight makes it so much cosier.
"A ripple effect" Hire that guy!
"Check nearby libraries" Love it!
